Anxiety Counseling and Depression Counseling
Life is increasingly more stressful. Just when we think we have a grip on things, the unexpected occurs and we find ourselves suddenly unprepared to deal with what lies before us. We can work together to discover the causes of the discomfort and gently work toward healing.
Grief Counseling and Bereavement
Grief can be complicated. It can hit us when we least expect or anticipate. As you grieve, I will walk alongside you listening with encouragement and guidance as you experience the stages of grief. This process is both healing and strengthening.
I'm Also a Men's Issues Therapist
Yep, men often do not want to talk about feelings. I get it. But as men we need to process our issues in a healthy manner in order to function at our best. I offer a safe environment where we can talk about the problems unique to us. No matter what the challenges are, we can work together to find solutions and healing.
More About Me
My passions outside of working with others in a healing environment include all outdoor activities, particularly mountain biking, as well as reading, and collecting vintage memorabilia. I’m also a southern-born hockey fan.
I have worked within the Carolinas Healthcare System where I met with clients who were experiencing many different challenges and conditions. I have also worked with Pfeiffer University at Charlotte in providing personal growth counseling to graduate students in the university's master's program for marriage and family therapy. I am a Gottman-trained marriage counselor.
